Reid: Made big impact.

Australia's Todd Reid has been awarded the inaugural Clive Bernstein award at this year's Stella Artois Championships.

Reid received a bursary of €2,500 for being the qualifier who made the biggest impact on the tournament. After reaching the main draw, he defeated Nicolas Mahut to record his first ever ATP match win and then overcame No. 10 seed Jan-Michael Gambill in the second round before going down to Sebastien Grosjean on Thursday.

The annual award was set up this year in honour of Clive Bernstein, the founding tournament director of the Stella Artois Championships, who died shortly before last year's event.

It is designed to recognise Clive's constant concern for the welfare of young players and is to be used for travel, often the most onerous cost for qualifiers.
