Top LTWA Award for Stella Artois Director

Ian Wight, tournament director for the Stella Artois Championships, has been named as the recipient of the annual Lawn Tennis Writers’ Association award for services to British tennis.

Wight, who has been associated with the tournament since it began in 1979, is the first tournament director to receive the award, which was first presented in 1951.

Wight will be honoured at the annual dinner of the Association at the Hurlingham Club in London in December.
